Chevrolet Beat, which is known as Spark in some of the countries, will receive the new-generation models in market by 2015, says a report of the Reuters. The revamped version of Aveo was also about to launch in late 2015 along with Chevrolet Beat, but the latter project got pushed back due some internal reasons where it now gets shelved for the 2016 roll out.
This bit of information was revealed by South Korean labor union spokesman, the news was tipped off when the GM Korea’s management briefed union negotiators on its plans during annual wage talks that ended last week. “The management said it originally planned to launch the redesigned Aveo in late 2015, but the plan was pushed back. It also said it will produce the new Spark in the first half of 2015,” said Choi Jong-hak, spokesman of GM Korea, without elaborating. And when officially asked about it, Choi refused to comment stating that company did not disclose its future product plans.
The production of both the vehicles are said to be continued in Korea, and would see the exports from there itself.
In addition taking Cruze also into this respective plinth, the next generation of it will take more than a year i.e. by December 2015 to get rolled out on the sales floor, all because of engineering issues, which it was scheduled for the late 2014 debut earlier. And on the other side of flip the car had already gained higher profits than what was expected, so garnishing it with more marketing cost now means the additional investment and less profit, it sounds better to wait for the next generation to arrive.
