Apart from the scholarship programme, Nissan is actively engaged in collaborative research projects with IIT Madras in advanced areas of automobile technology. ‘Nissan Support Program’ supports Research & Development projects at IIT-M in the areas of engineering, science, management, humanities and social sciences.
Around five projects are chosen for funding every year based on proposals from young faculty of IIT-M. This further emphasizes Nissan’s commitment in the field of education and research in India. Currently, there are more than ten projects being carried out under this scheme.
