A good news for the PlayStation freaks. Nissan India announced registrations open for the 7th season of PS GT Academy competition across the nation. Interested gamers can log onto the Sony network through PlayStation 3, and can play rounds of Gran Tourismo 6 to qualify for the final of India’s national round. Or else, various live events are also organized by the Japanese carmaker where the gamers can pre-register themselves and can attend the session in order to make up to the championship. The events will happen in cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Delhi.
For the qualification rounds, competitors need to make the fastest lap in a Nissan GT-R LM NISMO driven at Circuit de la Sarthe, of 24 Hours Le Mans. Only 20 fastest drivers across the nation, from both online and events, will get shortlisted, and will be placed against each other in order to get fastest six. Those lucky six will race at Silverstone Race Camp and compete under the wing of GT Academy Asia against the other winners selected from Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines. And the final winner will get an opportunity to participate at Dubai 24 Hour Race which is scheduled for January 2016.
Hence, this sounds like a chance of lifetime for many. The serious participants must brace up, and shall start investing more efforts in improving the skills. After all, this GT Academy of Nissan is offering no lesser excitement than that of the rear world racing. So, enthusiasts get ready with the racing suits, and passport too, as no one knows who can get lucky.
Must thank Nissan India for encouraging racing enthusiasm at a grass root level, where a layman too can live his dream of racing at least for some time.
