Nissan India Posts 185.6% Increase In August 2012 Sales

As per fresh reports, Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) has made the announcement that it has registered an increase of around 185.6% in its last month sales (August 2012).

Overall, Nissan Motor India Private Ltd has recorded sales of around 3953 vehicles in the domestic market during the month under review as compared to against 1384 units sold during the same period of 2011, reflecting Nissan increasing fame in the country.

Nissan Micra, the compact hatchback along with Nissan Sunny, the entry-level sedan recorded collective sales of around 3944 units.

The X-trail lifestyle sport utility vehicle, Nissan Teana luxury sedan in addition to Nissan 370Z cult sports car consisted of the remaining.

While talking over the company’s performance, Mr. Takayuki Ishida, Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd stated that it is really cheering to witness the Indian made Sunny going up and up in the country’s growing market.

Mr. Takayuki Ishida also said that their promise and concentration is on rolling out more locally made cars, which provide augmented value to their clients.

Moreover, Nissan is getting ready to roll out its third Chennai made car, with the ground-breaking Evalia urban class utility vehicle ready to go on sale in showrooms crosswise the Indian market later this month.

Mr. Nitish Tipnis, Director-Marketing & Sales, Hover Automotive India (HAI), Nissan’s only and exclusive distributor in the Indian market also said that they are witnessing a stable growth in their sales on a monthly basis.

Mr. Nitish added that they look ahead for the sales to begin renovating during the festival period.
