Nissan Motor India Sells two models in India- the entry-level sedan Sunny and hatchback Micra. The Nissan Sunny model is leading the race with the sale of about 2436 units while the automaker sold about 1028 units of compact hatchback Micra in the month of July 2012.
The other models like Nissan Teana, X-Trail and Nissan 370Z added to the sales of company in the month of July 2012. The Managing Director of Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd., Mr. Ishida Takayuki stated that the sales of the company during the month of July are quite encouraging and the company feels confident with its presence in India. It is a good trend that the customers love the products of the company. The company has plans to expand its portfolio by launching Evalia by the end of the year 2012.
The company is confident of occupying the first place in the Indian auto Industry. Mr Nitich Tipnis, the Sales and Marketing Director at Hover Automotive India (HAI), which is the sales and marketing partner in India has commented that Nissan is able to prove its worth in India and will be able keep up to the commitment to the local market by introducing different exclusive models and having well managed network. In the month of July, the company has noted 118.5% increase in the month of July. In the month of July 2012, the company has sold total of 3481 vehicles as compared to 1593 vehicles in July 2011.
