Launch after the launch, Indian automotive industry doesn’t seem in the mood for stopping at any cost. Happened to be the Ford EcoSport this week, accompanied by KTM 390 in the same, also the new Mercedes Benz E Class, and now we got to know that Nissan is going to launch its Micra facelift by 3rd July 2013. It is one of the big launches for Japanese on Indian shores. Therefore they had called the updated Micra here for the launch very soon after the global revelation.
And moreover, some of the media houses too had received the exclusive test drive before the roll out. Since their inception, technical changes will not be carried out on the newbie but the cosmetic changes will be made to the extreme stretches on same.
Yes, the 1.2L petrol version is now lined up with its sibling like Sunny and all for engulfing the automatic gearbox, but the remaining 1.5L diesel is still dwindling with those old school mechanical powertrain.
However, we weren’t confident a lot but there are strong rumors doing rounds in the industry that a low cost version of Micra will also dwell the Indian market, which will compete with the likes of Hyundai Eon and other such in the low cost price range. In fact Datsun launch is also going to happen very soon here from the house of Nissan, but ‘exactly when’ is not clearly known to us.
