These days Nissan looks in a hurry to grab those vying gaps of our fraternity and to make it possible new roll-outs are seen very often from their side.
Just recently, we had witnessed new edition of Sunny, and prior to that Micra was also done in the same avatar, while now Nissan unveiled the facelift model of its hatchback Micra which was a due to the long-going same epic. At the time of launch, Micra was in the hype of media because of VW’s Beetle-istic looks and other such, but later on it was then featured with youth appeal and so, to push hard in the market.
India is not the only market to view this hatch but it also available in various other territories where it is named as ‘March’. The mid-life facelift version was a need of the organization which will soon be followed by a new offering after a next couple of year or nearby.
It is learnt that, facelift is carried on the cosmetic aspects rather than technical ones. One can name the tweaks in form of: new front grille with V shaped chrome stance, refreshed front and rear bumpers, new head and tail lamps, new fog lamps and brand new alloys. Overall, Micra is still in the same crispy metal body cladding that was found on its earlier model.
On inside, more refinements can be experienced than the outer part. Facelifted Micra now breads an upmarket upholstery unlike to some unsatisfying components from the previous package. Squared AC vents, climate control, chrome door handles, dual glove box, reverse parking sensor and electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, can be pronounced as a few. To an addition, steering wheel is blessed with mounted controls and the central board by dark grey finishing, which was found to be a blend of beige and light brown on the last season model.
Lastly, the same technical strata of 1.2 liter petrol with 75 bhp, 104 Nm and 1.5 liter diesel jag with 64 bhp, 160 Nm are bestowed to 5 speed manual transmissions.
Micra will soon be launch in India and other markets. Prices are expected to be a bit competitive on Indian shores for giving a tough stride to the competitors. Meanwhile, one can also find the petrol mode with CVT and XTRONIC gearboxes on their upcoming favorite newbie that now seems to be a common trend for all the model plates.
