Old wine in a new bottle, C-class to be re-launched with minor face-lifts

The C-class saloon from the German auto major Mercedes-Benz will be officially launched in the month of March this year. The pictures revealed by the company is a United States-specific model, and the car that will find its way to the Indian shores is expected to retain its features and attributes almost intact. The updates that have been done on the car are very modest to say the least for a new model of the year. Most of the changes that have been ordained are under the cover. With this regards,  Mercedes-Benz will offer a range of all-fresh diesel and petrol engines. Tweaks in the design are limited to LED lamps down at the bottom, faintly restyled headlamps and a new aluminum hood. The updates on the aesthetic parts of the rear are barely evident. On the interiors, the all new C-class gets a new surface granule and integrated screen in the restyled dashboard. In tune with the next generation Telematics, the new car will be available with Hi-Res color display in the gadget huddle. Apart from the latest engines, the saloon gets new DAS (Driver Assistance Systems) such as Parktronic help, Blind Spot Assistance, Lane keeping Assist and Attention Assist to keep a vigil on the road. The face-lifted New Mercedes-Benz C-class will be unveiled next month at the motor show in Geneva.

For Mercedes enthusiasts, the sales figure of the car in the month of December 2010 was 141 units.
