Panoz LLC, a leading manufacturing company of high performance racing vehicles and automobiles will be presenting the all-new 25th Anniversary Edition Esperante Spyder luxury sportscar at the formal opening of its new plants in Braselton, Georgia on 3rd April, 2014. The Esperante Edition is a special exclusive model, which celebrates the automaker’s racing heritage as well as Panoz sportscars of past 25 years. It is a direct result of close technical collaboration amongst the several Panoz affiliates, including Panoz LLC, Panoz Engineering Services, Elan Composites and Elan Motorsports Technologies. From the beginning, the engineers and designers envisioned the limited edition model, which provides pure sportscar performance ethos. Simultaneously, the Esperante Spyder also provides many of the highly desirable features, shoppers expect in the 21st Century performance machine like state of the art programmable gauge cluster.
Panoz LLC expects to produce around 25 examples of the 25th Anniversary Edition Esperante Spyder and Spyder GT for commemorating the anniversary milestone. Production will be intentionally limited to a handful of custom built models for select customers, keeping with Panoz LLC’s goal of creating the most exclusive custom sports car of America.
The 25th Anniversary Edition Esperante Spyder is a more powerful yet lighter version of the original hand-built Panoz cabriolet. It gets lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber structures, robust and updated antilock braking system to ensure braking performance is on par with the vehicle’s exceptional driving capabilities, fully independent and completely redesigned rear and front suspension and a distinctive modular extruded aluminum chassis, which is more durable and rigid than many performance coupes. The Esperante Spyder buyers can choose between two sportscar bodies: the carbon fiber body panels produced in the Elan Composites race shop for Spyder GT and the super formed lightweight aluminum body constructed in Riverside, California through a process developed for aerospace applications on the regular Spyder.
Panoz was the first American automobile manufacturing company to use super formed aluminum panels for its bodies, a process now used by some of the most elite automakers of the world. Shoppers can also choose amongst several high performance powertrain packages ranging from 430 to 800 horsepower. Other features include high quality wood and leather trim throughout the comfortable interior, fully adjustable and lightweight carbon fiber sports seats, high tech gauges for monitoring the vehicle’s vital systems, electronic traction control and modern options like race inspired carbon fiber steering column and media player connectivity.
At last, the 25th Anniversary Edition Esperante Spyder rides on 9.5 x 19 inch rear BBS and 8.5 x 19 inch BBS wheels with 285/35 ZR19 and 245/40 ZR19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport ultra high performance rear and front sport tires. With the price of $189,000, the Esperante Spyder continues to herald the Panoz LLC goal of providing its customers exceptional value, uncompromising performance and true exclusivity.
Panoz was the first American automaker to build and design an Aluminum Extensive Vehicle. The modular chassis developed by the company for 2001 Panoz Esperante continued to be at the leading edge of automotive engineering. Its production and design processes used for Esperante Chassis and other vehicles has always focused on providing high levels of production and development efficiencies. Today, many of these processes have been adopted by major automakers.
