Mumbaikars were in for a treat this January. If you are a car enthusiast, or if you get a thrill from just being behind the wheels or if you are really into NFS games, then this is definitely the case for you. It’s very rare that these things are hosted in India, but once they are, it’s done with equal pomp and gala, and supported by everyone country wide, for India doesn’t have any dearth of car enthusiasts or people who rave about the thrill of being in a sports car. Here we are talking about the Parx Super Car Show in 2012 of INK Group, which has been organized by the Super Car Club (SCC) with the collaborative hand of Autocar India.

There were a few delegates who had come around for this event, amongst which was Valentino Balboni, who had been a test car driver for the Lamborghini. The show was a huge success with people from all around India coming to get a sneak-peek of the cars they have never seen on the roads. The show kicked off with Gautam Singhania, the Chariman and Managing Director of Raymond Ltd and Founding Chairman of the SCC, leading the entourage of cars.
The show was hosted at the Mahalaxmi Race Course, with our citizens getting a glimpse of some sensational beauties. But that’s not all; the show didn’t linger only on the Race course grounds, but also made its presence felt all around Mumbai. The cars paraded through the city streets, hitting the roads including the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and the Western Express Highway.
This show was a novel sight for all India, with never before seen events hosted by Super Car Show organizers. The show was initially thought of back in April 2009, but never gained momentum. But this year, the show finally took off, giving the people of India a chance to see with their own eyes, exquisitely designed highly priced cars with state-of-the-art modeling. The cars included the likes of Ferrari 458 Italias, Lamborghini Aventadors and Aston Martins. The list also included an array of Porsches and Bentleys and the Ariel Atom. And no show and no list is complete without the Mercedes, the BMWs and the decked up Rolls Royces.
