Claimed the record breaking victory at Pikes Peak last month, the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak now had clocked the fastest lap at 2013 Goodwood hill climb too.
Maneuvered by the Peugeot’s very own driver Gregory Guilvert, he made the 208 T16 to cross the lap of Goodwood course in 45.86 seconds, sharing the top slot with Nick Heidfeld driven Lola B12/60 Group C prototype. Despite grabbing the title of fastest car at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Peugeot 208 T16 is still four seconds less than the Goodwood hill climb record that was set in 1998 at a whopping 41.6 seconds.
Powering the 208 T16 Pikes Peak is a twin-turbo V6 engine, producing the massive 875 hp and delivering traction to all the four wheels. Power to weight ratio of this race car is 1-to-1, that extracts the weight of same would be 875 kg.
Added as a reminder, Peugeot 208 T16 had set a new benchmark at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb last month. It had completed completing the famous American course in only 8 minutes and 13.878 seconds, which had left the others just dazzling at it.
