Land Rover has now added another new 3.0 litre V6 diesel option to its Range Rover product line-up in India. The move is mainly seen as an attempt to lure more buyers with this down the line engine. The new engine will allow Land Rover to grab some buyers who are looking for a powerful diesel variant.
The new version comes with a 2993 cc twin turbo V6 diesel unit that churns out about 255 bhp and about 61.2 kgm of torque. The engine is mated to the same ZF sourced 8 speed gearbox that is housed in other Range Rover variants.
According to Land Rover, with the 3.0 litre engine Range Rover can reach from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds and can go up to a top speed of about 210 kmph. The new Range Rover is available with two trim versions. The lower variant HSE trim is priced at Rs. 1.44 crore (ex- showroom Mumbai) while other Vogue is tagged with a price tag of Rs. 1.64 crore. (Both prices are ex-showroom Mumbai, pre-octroi).
