The war of low-cost cars has arrived to a very competitive mode, where the cut-throat strategies only thrive. Maruti with its Alto remained the leader of this segment undisputed, is now on the verge of receiving rivals as many as possible. Till now, the Datsun GO and GO+ developed a concrete spot in the segment, where Renault too is eyeing to plant its spunk. The car codenamed as XBA, which will set the game for Renault, it spotted testing daringly. Some even reported it to get called as Kayou after the launch.
The test mule spied is under the siege of heavy camouflage, where it will shed it for the world premiere on May 20, 2015. Slim rubbers are shoed on its 13-14 inch wheels, where to save the cost further blackened mirror takes over instead of body coloured. Seeing blackened bumpers at the launch too will not amaze us, and the single wiper blade spotted is just another example of the car belonging to masses.
However, the engine bay of Renault Kayou will get strapped by a 0.8-litre petrol engine. The possibility of diesel is ruled out due to the slow recovery on the huge investment from Indian market. But a good news has stuck the circle, buyers may also get a chance to own the AMT transmission soon after the launch, which sounds a bliss for the new-gen buyers.
