However, Renault was glad to roll out the Duster on Indian roads by last year, which we learnt is selling the same in whopping numbers month by month. To its addition, some days back we reported French carmaker have launched the Limited Edition of darling Duster, being dwelled with the Cosmos Blue color and “Anniversary Edition” graphics on outer. Lest, there nothing more than that on interiors and elsewhere. Luckily, we got a chance to review the same car at MMIS 2013, and leaving no temperament left bounded, we took the opportunity and glimpsed it through the snaps that are shown over here in this post.
Making us known, the Anniversary Edition hosted off only on the top end 110PS diesel variant Duster, which is touted as ‘RxZ’ trim of the repertoire. Hence, an important note, which the sales person said over there, Renault planned only 8-10 limited vehicles of the edition for Mumbai, out of which “all” of them are sold out. And that too for a same price for that of a regular RxZ Duster trim!
Commenting about the Anniversary Edition Duster, we got to know, the graphics on it are entailed from the front doors to rear, and even leaving batching impression on the C-pillar. While looking in the interiors, we noticed Renault too had plugged off the second row AC vent from the floor which was seemed poisoning the comfort of third person seating. That deletion of pillared vents as per to us (and also the space conscious Indian consumers) came as a bliss.
Looking at the images, it can be noted, the combination of colors are played blissfully on the vehicle. And that ‘cosmos blue’ paint job was looking like a piece of heaven. Apparently, we knew that using the term ‘heaven’ with the Duster is not suited with rapport which the vehicle enjoys in market, but what can one would utter when they are would get to see only the eight to ten of that sorted car in their cities.
Added for the last, customers can also fix the added jumper seat at rear by cutting off the boot space to almost zero. Need not to Google, one can get those accessories at the official Renault showroom itself.
On buying this assorted vehicle from the French carmaker, the owners were also given a special package of benefits, which includes exchange benefits of up to Rs. 60,000/-, additional two years warranty, free roadside assistance for four years and free ‘Gang of Dusters’ community membership. The compact SUV is lugged with 1.5-litre k9k diesel engine from that of the ongoing Duster, producing 108 BHP and 248 Nm of torque, being mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
