The Renault Duster AWD was happened to reach the showrooms in India during this festive season. Here, is what the rumours had sealed it with the spy-shots and other details about the vehicle, revealed quite before the official launch could take place.
A number of differences can be spotted between the AWD and regular version.
Under the hoods, this upcoming Renault will have the 108.5bhp 1.5L K9k diesel motor mated to the same 6-speed manual gearbox. The all-wheel drive layout will be permanent. One would have to switch between the two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive and auto to get the things straight as per the road. Needed to note, apparently only the RxZ variant will be having this new gimmick.
Other important features that will be seen on the Duster AWD are independent suspension with multi-link, and Electronic Torque control system from Renault which will spread the torque to all the four-wheels for a balanced driving experience. In addition, Hill-assist and new Eco mode to get this SUV with better performance and better fuel-efficiency by 10%. As per the official, Duster AWD will deliver fuel-efficiency of 19.72kmpl.
Apart from the technical changes, Duster to have new dashboard with softer feel, new instrument cluster displaying multiple information at a time, leather on 3-spoke steering rim, and red- burnt fabric for upholstery. Also to be there on list will be, new indicator for gear-shift and cruise control.
Hopefully, the Duster AWD will cost Rs 70k more than the top-end RxZ variant. Launch to happen soon in the coming months.
