New special edition of the Renault Kwid has been launched in India. Named Renault Kwid Superhero, The car has been priced at Rs.4.34 lakhs. The Superhero model would be the second special edition model of the Kwid to have been launched thus far. Bookings for the car are already open for an advanced amount of Rs.9999. The Superhero Edition has been launched because of Renault’s tie-up with Disney, who owns Marvel. The car, true to its name, gets decals and graphics portraying various Marvel superhero characters, especially the ones from Avengers.
The car will be launched in two versions – Iron Man and Captain America. The Iron Man edition gets a bright red paint scheme with gold decals on the sides, near the roof spoiler and an ‘Invincible’ badge on the rear door. The Captain America version is finished in white and gets blue and rear decals on the bonnet, sides and on the outside mirrors, along with ‘Super Soldier’ badges on the rear door.
