Certainly, nothing is confirmed, but a source in the industry is found saying Renault to launch its Lodgy in India on April 9, 2015.
The MPV of Renault appears more promising in the markets like ours, where number of MPVs are rolled out every year, and is the new mantra for the buyer to say it ‘utility’ in these times.
Renault tasted blood of success by means of Duster, where it specifically knows this new model too will work finely against the competitors.
Duster and Lodgy both are the products of Dacia, the low-cost brand of the French automaker in Europe.
However, the dealers in India have already started accepting bookings of Renault Lodgy for price as low as Rs 50,000.
In the engine bay, Lodgy holds Renault’s famous K9K diesel engine in two states of power outputs: 85PS and 110PS, the same spec of Duster.
Going by dimensions and other options in the list, India-spec Renault MPV is loaded with more equipments than the international variant. For example, chrome strips on body, reverse parking sensors, Media navigation, ABS, EBD and many more.
Apparently, some variants on the middle row are given away with captain seats, where a one of it is also found with a flat bench. As per feedbacks from those who sat indie it, they affirmed, third row is generous than others MPVs available in this country. Furthermore, it can get more generous when one will fold down the third row to spruce additional space. If still not satisfied, the row can be removed completely out of the cabin to free up a space from the headliner up to the floor. In that context, the second row is foldable as well, which means a whole bunker is now available for transporting the cargos of almost any size, but anything lesser than a house.
