Renault recently stated that they plan to increase their dealership in India to 100 dealers by 2012-end. As of the French car manufacturer has around 14 dealerships in India. Renault India’s VP of marketing and sales, Len Curran was quoted as saying that they are seriously focusing on India, which is one of their top three strategic markets.
He said that by the end of this year, they plan to have around 40 dealerships, and increase it to around 100 dealerships by 2012-end. By then they plan to have around 5 models in their portfolio for the Indian auto market.
The company plans to have a dealer network of around 100 dealerships across 75 Indian cities. Curran said that they plan on launching the Koleos, which their premium SUV model, this year by October. After the launch of this SUV, they will follow it with three more car models by next year, which includes a hatchback in the B-segment.
