The seven-seater Renault Triber has made its global debut in New Delhi. The Triber is based on Renault Kwid’s CMF-A platform and measures under four meters. Except the Datsun Go+, the Triber would be the only sub-four meter car to have three rows of seats.
Although the Triber shares some similarities with the Kwid, it has some stark differences. The Triber gets new headlights, new grille, a clamshell bonnet and a square-ish rear section. On the inside, the car gets a dual-tone colour scheme along with a 3.5-inch LCD screen in the instrument cluster and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Powering the Triber would be an upgraded variant of Kwid’s 1.0-liter BR10 three-cylinder petrol engine with a peak output of 72HP. Transmission options would include a 5- speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.
