The hype of a new Roll-Royce car always touches the roof. And by roof, we literally mean it!
‘Dawn’ of Rolls-Royce said to debut by 2016 is actually a drophead coupe of Wraith. But for some marketing purposes, the maker has changed it for a new model plate, seemed taken the Wraith to chop off the ‘roof’ to convert it into a Dawn.
Here, for the first time we have spotted the car with its soft top clearly. The remaining body is heavily covered under the camouflages. But it was an exciting sight to see Dawn with the roof on, which is the only USP of this model against its hard-top sibling.
However, nothing is going to change in the engine bay exceptionally. One can still find Dawn with that 6.6-litre V12 backed by twin-turbo sending the max power of 624bhp and 800Nm of peak torque, where 0-100 km/h is touched in 4.6 seconds, a shade slower than Wraith due to the soft top and added weight to chassis.
More thought of our source on this revealed, car is ready and set for the launch; it’s the final test going on before hitting the dealerships. Some top notch had seen it at the preview across 2015 Rolls-Royce World Dealer Conference in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Well, if not proven wrong, then Rolls-Royce Dawn may attract the starting price tag of €245,000 as soon as it will enter the Europe followed by preview at Frankfurt Motor Show 2015.
