It isn’t for the Indian market. Rolls-Royce every time with its new special edition raises eyebrows, sometimes in admiration and sometimes in despair. Though, for us, this new Phantom Drophead Coupe ‘Nighthawk’ caters the latter plinth of the said statement. Well, the Drophead coupe is a well-refined luxury cruiser that is not needed to go funky; instead the convertible is well suited in its typical British fashion. Somehow, the carmaker twisted it for an excitement and unveiled the Nighthawk which it said to be built in nine units only, and will be up for sale only in international markets.
A unique Diamond Black Metallic paint covers the entire exterior, where contrasting the scheme bonnet goes for a matte black shade. Silver windscreen frame and alloy wheels makes up for an ironical enticement. They say it is made from the radar-absorbent material for extra strength, which are commonly used in stealth jets.
The cabin glows in an all new treat of black leather and red accents. Interestingly, red leather can be found on door panels, armrest and dashboard. Apart from that luxurious contemplation, the makers also thought of giving this special car a racy touch, for which the carbon fiber are seen across the dashboard, door trims, center console, dials on instrument cluster (with glowing orange tips) and steering wheel. Hence, after such racing adornments, the engine of Drophead Coupe isn’t tweaked; instead it remains the same with a V12 of 6.75-litre churning out its best of 450 horsepower.
