Rolls-Royce Wraith, the recent motor car launched by the brand to the world, is now added with more prestige, named in Ward’s 10 Best Interiors for 2014. In the year, 41 vehicles with all-new or redesigned passenger compartments are soaked up to the top honors for fit-and-finish, comfort, ergonomics, functionality, value, safety and aesthetics. Entries were reined from compact cars, pickup trucks and utilities vehicles, premium and luxury brands, such as Rolls-Royce, have made their way into the competition.
“Rolls-Royce is honored to be awarded 2014 Ward’s 10 Best Interiors,” said Eric C. Shepherd, President of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America. “The level of sophistication and polish the Wraith offers – both interior and exterior – is a testament to the Rolls-Royce marque. This accolade adds to the high distinction Wraith continues to amass within the automotive community and consumers alike.”
“If anyone thought Rolls-Royce interiors were stuffy and aloof, they need to catch a glimpse of the new 2-door Wraith. It exudes youthful energy; it’s fabulously appointed and it’s a tribute to hand craftsmanship,” says Tom Murphy, WardsAuto World executive editor. “Open the carriage-style door of the Wraith and it’s easy to be blown away by so many details – the beautiful silence when the door closes and the window presses tightly into the seal, the sound of the strumming harp when the engine starts, the warmth of the Canadel Paneling made of Brazilian rosewood and, of course, the ability to guarantee a starry sky on a cloudy night. The Spirit of Ecstasy lives on.”
Rolls-Royce Wraith is a masterpiece British luxury and elegance, which is simply displayed in the every bit of car, ranging from the clock on the dashboard to the stitches of seat. The vehicle’s coach doors lead the terms as gateways to a sumptuous interior with the finest, contemporary materials that create the ultimate lavish driving experience.
Just a brief about the awarding system, every year editors at WardsAuto seek to find the 10 best interiors that are made to raise the bar of completion for each of the brand and vehicle’s segment. This year, the panel of eight WardsAuto editors had taken the decision by filling up the score sheets on the basis of review for items like stitching on seats, door trimming, material quality, and gloss levels of each vehicle, all while keeping aesthetics and design harmony top of mind.
The top 10 vehicles will be honored and receive trophies on May 21, at the WardsAuto Interiors Conference at The Henry Hotel in Dearborn, MI.
