On Wednesday, automobile giant Rolls-Royce presented the world debut of Wraith, claiming it to be the most powerful and dynamic vehicle in the history of Rolls-Royce.
According to CEO Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Torsten Muller Otvas, the Rolls-Royce Wraith is the ultimate gentleman’s Gran Turismo, a car that embodies the spirit of Charles Stewart Rolls Wraith is also the most powerful Roll-Royce in history. Wraith promises the sense of adventure and speed that drove Rolls-Royce founding forefather. But of course, Wraith’s starting point is luxury, refinement and quality, traits that remain as important for Rolls-Royce customers today, as they were more then a century ago.
According to Rolls-Royce chairman and BMW Group Board Member Harold Kruger, BMW has reconfirmed its full commitment to the future of Rolls-Royce. With continued investment, careful brand stewardship and launch of groundbreaking new models like the Wraith, growth and prosperous future lies ahead of Rolls-Royce.
Wraith’s fastback design gives the car its unique characteristic look. The bold lines, tension in the panels, raked rear screen, all evoke together the image of world class athlete poise. The styling promises to deliver performance. Thanks to a V-12 engine combined to an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission, the power delivery though effortless is dramatic. 624 bhp/465 kilowatts (kw), 0-60 miles per hour (mph) sprint in 4.4 seconds, 1500rpm 800Nm of torque, wide rear back, shorter wheelbase, lower roof height give it the powerful contribution.
Wraith will be priced at £245k in the European market. Confirmation on the rate will be revealed later in the year.
As per the car manufacturer, “The Wraith basically is a shortened edition of the Rolls-Royce Ghost, which boast “just an indication of the noir.” The Ghost’s 6.6-liter double turbo V12 has been tweaked to fabricate 624 HP. It is coupled to an 8 speed ZF transmission. The technology makes use of GPS mapping data to make sure the correct device is always pre-chosen for the road terrain in front.”
