Asians, who had dreamt of travelling in London Cab but couldn’t afford to travel there, now can head to Shanghai, China for a similar ride – but in the Chinese version!
The first image release by its local automaker Geely confirmed that city’s new cab will resemble the London city cabs, but are actually different than them in terms of paint shade. As the Chinese have painted it in golden whereas the British loved it in black.
The first lot of 50 cars will be rolling out soon from the factory and would parade on streets during National Day holiday, by early October.
Not to be tranquilized by the mean that Chinese still are unique with their paint shade. Last year, in UK, Etihad Airways did its promotional campaign in Manchester City by draping the cabs in golden wrap.
Aspirants wished to see their first ride in such examples, will have to shell out at least 19 yuan, which is quite expensive than the standard taxis. And after the initial kilometer, they are required to pay 2.6 yuan, which is premium by 5 yuan than the current rates. Hence, these aforesaid numbers are leaked out from relevant sources which may be confirmed by the official authorities soon.
Hopefully, golden color considered by Chinese as a mark of good fortune and powerful elements, it shall bring down the pollution as well.
