Skoda Rapid is no doubt being based on the Volkswagen Vento’s platform, and now it seems the younger Czech sibling needs refreshment, so the organization had announced 2014 Rapid will now host a new engine.
The new engine will be of 1.6L TDI badge and will produce the power of 90 ponies at its maximum.
In spite of this cranking technicality, automaker had announced some cosmetic changes too. It will be the optional xenon headlamps on exterior, whilst new three spoke steering rim, updated infotainment system and new choices of skin for seats are the ones to name for interiors.
Moreover at the engine bay, Volkswagen owned brand will provide the 1.6L TDI with an optional enhancement called “Green tech”. It will assist the car to store energy that gets lost while braking alongside with some of the contributions from rolling-resistant tyres. And all these factors will just do fine for achieving sumptuous fuel economy at the task.
Hopefully the brand had said new Rapid to hit the sales floor by 5th August 2013; except this bug may greet the customers, later on but very soon, for many other markets of the world.
