The launch of new Skoda Octavia may have shaken up the competitors, but would it go such extreme with its in-house sibling may have not been thought of by us. The launch of new Octavia has discontinued the sale of Laura in India. And company is no longer selling the car in our country. The official Indian website of Skoda too removed the particular model plate from the list.
It seems that Czech-based carmaker have sold all the units of old-Octavia and the Laura so that its new car may be sold in numbers at least for present. The plans of the automaker is also been expected that a new Laura to be rolled out at a near future, because the phased out model was doing its job in India since long back and was also finding itself a bit old as compared to the competitors.
Laura was available in India in petrol as well diesel guise. The 1.8L TFSI and 2.0L TDI were been found under its hoods. Laura was priced at Rs. 14.55 lakh for entry level, the top-end costs at Rs. 19.27 lakh.
