The most awaited Skoda’s high performance car, Octavia vRs, will finally be shown to public at the Goodwood festival in July. This car will be the fastest of all cars and is claimed to provide the speed of 62 mph in approximately seven seconds. The top speed of this car is 154 miles per hour (mph) for 217 bhp. It is basically a 181bhp 2.0 – liters diesel model to give a speed of 0 to 62 miles per hour (mph) in time of the approximately 8 seconds along with the best speed of approx. 144 miles per hour (mph). The car is well equipped with the six speed gearbox, which is also manually operated. In this case, the direct gearbox shift is optional for the user.
In spite of bringing up new car with improved efficiency and power, the company claims that the car is nineteen per cent more fuel efficient as compared to their previous model. The Start and Stop system of the car, which turns the engine off and the brake’s energy regeneration, can be considered as the main reason behind the feature of fuel efficiency of this model.
The vRS also promises a sharper handling as compared to standard car and it is due to the sport suspension with multi-link axle at rear. In addition to this, the electronic differential lock is fitted in the car, which, in turn, improves its traction and also reduces any tendency of under steering in the fast corners. This model Skoda will be available in the estate as well as hatchback versions. The Octavia vRS is well equipped with the 3 spoke steering wheels, sports seats, sill plates and stainless steel pedal, along with new gadget for panel design.
