Being revealed just a couple of months back, Skoda Superb Facelift is caught testing for first time in India. Hopefully looking at the image, it had got a new set of tail lamps which is going to house LED clusters, new bootlid, and many more tweaks here and there. We had only received the rear end of vehicle so it can be easily concluded; a lot of changes are expected on fronts too
Lest, most probably taking cues from the globally revealed version, new Skoda Superb too will be done with fresh headlamps, refreshed front bumpers, distinct hood and ‘new’ Skoda logo on the bonnet. Interiors may also host the number of new features. Brand new steering wheel and skin option for interiors will be made available in ‘nine’ options for catering needs of different customers. New gear knob and rear parking camera will be there in terms to conclude last minute additions.
However, engine specifications say, the same India specific that this Czech bug was launched before will now again be doing with it. 1.8L TSI petrol, 2.0L TDI diesel and an impressive 3.6L V6 petrol will make debut here on Indian roads. The smaller petrol displacement may host the options of 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG gearbox, whilst the latter two i.e. 2.0L TDI and 3.6L V6 petrol will come only with the 7-speed DSG gearbox itself.
Launch of new Octavia is slated to happen in October, so hopefully we speculate the launch of Superb facelift may take place before the yearend itself.
