If reports appearing in the Business Standard can be trusted, Tata Motors might be coming out with a special edition Nano to mark the third anniversary of the car in March 2012. The special edition designing teams in Tata have come out with many spectacular models over the years. To mark the 10th anniversary of the Tata Indica, they had come out with a special edition Indica Vista that sold like hot cakes from the very day of its launch.
Even on the completion of two years of the Vista, certain beige models came out that became a great attraction for the persons with middle class family background. If the sources can be trusted, people were even willing to make premium expenditure to acquire the same!
The additional features that we can expect from the special edition of the Tata Nano could be new alloy wheels, black roof, leather seating as well as many other accessories. The powertrain is expected to remain the same as the present version.
If one can recall the ceremony for unveiling the Tata Nano at the Auto Expo of 2008, one might remember that Mr. Ratan Tata had driven to the stage on a specially designed Nano, which had black paint treatment on the roof.
