SsangYong Rexton facelift, the one that India is still awaited and Korea got it. Reportedly, the Rexton facelift that automaker unveiled in its own country is done with new vertical front grille, projector headlamps with daytime running lights, new tail lamp cluster and freshly designed alloy wheels.
The interior too gets a revamp. Major of it lies at the new instrument cluster, LED cabin lamps, heated seats and a new steering wheel.
Hence, the changes are only cosmetics, technicalities aren’t tweaking made under the hood. Those same options of 2.0- and 2.7-litre diesel engine are there alongside the bulky 3.2-litre petrol. Optional list consists of a five-speed automatic instead of six-speed manual, and a AWD against the part-time four-wheel drive.
Hence, it largely remains unclear whether this SsangYong Rexton will make its way to India, where the company still offers that 2.7-litre diesel in two-states of tune in the country of acquirer – Mahindra.
