Days back we reported about the SsangYong be rolling out a new variant to the Rexton named RX6. The reality is here, and that trim of Korean high-end SUV is launched for Rs 19.96 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
The Rexton RX6 sits between the RX5 and RX7 which were the two extreme poles of the badge – former is the base variant and latter is the top-end.
Rexton RX6 is a mix of top-end features from RX7, and the drivetrain of the base RX5. We mean those who prefer to be chauffeur-driven and adores ample of features, but doesn’t cares about the automatic transmission, this variant of the SsangYong Rexton is a perfect choice for them.
Loaded with premium leather upholstery, electrical sunroof, eight-way adjustable driver’s seat, rain sensing wipers, auto headlights, on demand all-wheel drive, an infotainment system with navigation, ABS and hill descent control, among others, the technical bay comes lugged with the Mercedes-sourced, 162bhp 2.7-litre turbo diesel motor as the other variants.
Speaking at the launch, Vivek Nayer, chief marketing officer, automotive division, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, “As a customer-centric organisation, we continuously take feedback from consumers and update our products to cater to their evolving needs. One such feedback from customers was the need for high-end and luxurious features in a manual transmission model. The launch of the Rexton RX6 is a step in this direction and will give driving enthusiasts a manual transmission with 4×4 capabilities, along with high-end features.”
Rexton RX6 comes in four colours – Satin White, Volcano Black, Moondust Silver and Opulent Purple.
