Mahindra and Mahindra has plans to launch its new sub-four-metre version of Verito Saloon by beginning of next year. This version will enable Mahindra to measure up for excise duty SOP on cars, which will help them offer a competitive price on the car.
There is a subtle alteration in the front bumper. However, the basic structure will remain same. A major change will be found in the wheelbase since the engineers will have to cut off a big chunk of the boot and lop off the excess overhangs while upholding basic structure of the wheelbase. The registration number plate’s place has also been changed.
Verito currently is powered by either a 1.4 liter petrol or 1.5 liter diesel engines. The sub-four meter Verito may be powered by a 1.5 liter dCI diesel engine sourced from Renault. The Verito has sold more than 16,000 units in 2011. It is about double the sale of 2010.
With the new version of sub-four-metre Verito, Mahindra has huge expectations. Once launched, the sub-four meter Verito will compete with the Maruti Dzire and Tata Indigo ECS in the market.
