The upcoming Suzuki Jimny would be built in Indonesia. This has been confirmed by Suzuki officials at the ongoing GIIAS.
The Jimny would be made available in two trims – the Kei car with a 660cc, three-cylinder petrol engine and the Sierra-badged trim that gets Suzuki’s 1,500cc K15B petrol motor. The Sierra has already been confirmed for the ASEAN Markets.
Here the Sierra would be launched with a five-speed manual and four-speed automatic gearbox. Thicker bumper and cladding would differentiate it from the Japan spec Jimny. It is not yet known if the Sierra would have a front-wheel or rear wheel drive.
