Its not quite the head turner, but it certainly looks well put together for a 12 grand price tag. The Russian automotive company, TagAZ unveils its latest creation, the world’s cheapest four-door coupe.
Christened, the Akvella, the car is a basically a low riding four-door coupe with a sporty guise. Its low riding stance, aggressive styling and edgy design makes it look like a sportscar. Well, its not. The Akvella sports a 1.6-litre inline four petrol engine. While there is no word on the power output or other technical details, the company plans to release the entire technical sheet and official photos soon.
Although the car is claimed to be the cheapest four-door coupe in the world, it has some impressive packaging, including ABS brakes, air conditioning, heated seats and airbags. In terms of styling, the Akvella rides on alloy wheels and has sporty bucket seats. All of that comes with a mouthwatering price tag of 387,550 Russian rubles ($12,000).
TagAZ plans to unwrap its latest product officially at the Moscow Motor Show next August, while sales begin in Russia next fall. At present, there is no plan of the car hitting the European markets.
