Takashi Kikuchi Appointed as the New Managing Director for Isuzu India

After silently launching the SUV MU7 in Indian market, Isuzu now had taken a bigger step after that. The carmaker now appointed Takashi Kikuchi as the new Managing Director to look into the local operations and all. He too will be looking after the growth here, which means a lot of concentration on the sales results too. Before landing to India, Mr. Kikuchi had held various leadership positions in many international markets. Scaling his experience, we came to know, he was instrumental in driving business growth in his capacity as senior executive officer in Japan.

Apart from that, Isuzu is in the process of setting up a plant in Andhra Pradesh to produce LCV and SUV, specifically to be located in the Sri City. For same, the company had signed a MoU with Andhra Pradesh government. The organization now possesses two showrooms in India, one in Hyderabad and the other one Coimbatore, slated as the only touch point for customers in the whole country.

Apart from the MU7 SUV, Isuzu also sells D Max pick-up truck here which competes with Tata Xenon and Mahindra Bolero pickup on an extreme note. In spite of a silent launch, Isuzu had managed to grasp in the targeted numbers very quickly, confirmed sources.
