Tata Vista D90 is been discontinued officially, says a report on internet. The discontinuation is said to pave way for the Tata Falcon aka Indica Vista D90 ‘facelift’, which is been spied in the backend of Tata Motors number of times.
Present-gen Vista D90 uses Fiat borrowed 1.3L Multijet diesel engine which produces 90PS & 200NM of torque, claiming the title of most powerful hatchback produced by Tata ever.
The reports further confirmed that new Vista will reach dealerships by February.
New Vista codenamed as Falcon 4 will be performance oriented, as the Vista D90 also belongs to that same category. Hence, there are hardly any expectations for the changes in technical specification of upcoming Tata hatchback, but possibility says the automaker may tweak jag for more power if feels so, otherwise most of the concentration will be laid on the cosmetics itself.
2014 Indian Auto Expo will play host to the Falcon 4, and will portray the customers the new revamped dashboard with instrumentation console moved to the right. Meanwhile, spy shots earlier revealed that projector headlamps to be there alongside brand new front grille spawned from that of the showcased Manza Hybrid. Some cosmetic jargons from European cars too can be seen, as it is been designed in the European design center of Tata Motors.
Launching price of the Tata’s new hope is expected to be initiating from the range-topping tag of present-gen Vista D90.
We guess the Indian carmaker may have also stored some surprises for the less-powerful variant if Vista which produces 75bhp-190Nm of torque from that same Fiat’s 1.3L Multijet.
In fact, the 2014 Indian Auto Expo will lend its final word about lines drawn by Tata for its future, and also how effectively it is going to withstand the coming times against competitor.
