Hatchbacks are old; what have taken the place are the cars like Maruti Celerio, Hyundai I10 Grand, Honda Brio and more to come. One such name that recently sprung in the reports from Tata Motors to make its way to the launch paddock soon from the same segment is the “Kite”.
Apparently, the car seen on the blog is seemed to be spied for the first time in India.
The upcoming Tata Kite measures smaller than new hatchback Bolt but bigger than Nano.
On the technical front, the car would be built using the same platform of Indica Vista with some amendments. On the overall count, the upcoming B-segment Tata looks quite different than the rest of Tata products. Sanand plant of the automaker will be utilized to manufacture it.
On interiors and cosmetic front, the Kite will be designed borrowing quotes from the Bolt itself.
Under the hoods, the technicalities shall be powered by the peers’ engine variations, but it remains clear the AMT may also make way to it, which is absurdly a boon these days. And it doesn’t mean to escalade the diesel as well. Very less competitors are available in the segment comparatively to other segments for oil burners, so it shall be in the pipeline from that perspective.
About the launch, none of the sureties can be guaranteed for a particular date, which is then to be speculated to happen by late 2015 or early 2016.
