Vista is all about premiumness and this time Tata had played brilliantly with some up market features added to the new D90 hatch.
Hatchbacks in India are more prominent for the premium features embedded inside them. Swift and others had done well by following the same route. It was only Tata who turned up as the last runner in this long vying marathon. This doesn’t seems to be the same story with Vista D90 as it boasts some cool niche features with additional horsepower.
Starting with the engine displacement, it is equipped with 1.3 liter Fiat’s Multijet Diesel engine tuned in with VGT (Variable Geometry Turbocharger) which is capable of delivering 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque considering it to stay at its peak for a long portion of time. The engine bay is assimilated with Euro-tech 2 gearbox ensuring a 0-100 KMPH in just 15.5 seconds with a top whack of 158 KMPH.
On the outside, it is much trendy giving a youthful appearance with freshly baked front and rear bumpers, rear spoiler, blackened roof, chrome streaks, redesigned alloy wheels and triple barrel headlamps.
Interiors are much more tech-smart than anything else on the car. Very first impression of the same goes largely with a touch screen TFT placed on dashboard that also guide through an integrated GPS system. Multimedia player can also be find in the same slot that comes with Blue5 technology which connects five mobile phones through Bluetooth connectivity at a time. Automatic climate control system, Advanced Driver Information System and Fuel Computer are some other interesting composites.
Electronically adjusted ORVM, Tata Indica Vista all 4 power windows, rear charging point, intelligent rear wiper, follow me headlamps and two-way adjustable steering wheel with mounted controls completes the abundant tech-fi package.
Overall, it wears a covering of Ebony Black and Sahara Beige premium dual tone interior skin. Lately, the dashboard is seen shifted behind the steering wheel as providing with some free vacuum to co-pilot.
Safety is also not yet compromised as it guards its owners with ABS, EBD and dual airbags.
