Tata Motors is working hard for its biggest launch – the Tata Manza CS. Currently the car was seen in camouflage, which shows how hard the company is working to meet its deadline. There are a number of customers in India who are willing to buy cars below Rs.5 lakhs in the sedan segment. The company is seen taking advantage of the market situation as the customers are very well accepting this compact sedan. Many of the company’s cars got lost in the market due to the new compact cars that are launched. In order to regain its territory, they are creating this compact version of Manza.
The design of the car from front is not new as the same design was seen in the Falcon 4 test mule. While the headlamps of the car remain the same with three barrel layout, the grille of the car has been changed. The rear end of the car will be seeing maximum changes. The rear section is not yet finished as the taillights have not been placed, but the car will surely have a new look. Though the boot of the car will now be chopped off, hopefully it will have enough boot space for luggage.
The car is expected to be powered by a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine or a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Tata Motors has named its new petrol engine as Revotron. The engine has been designed to give maximum efficiency with power output of 85hp. Pricing the car in the sub four meter car segment is extremely difficult as there is too much competition in the market. Hopefully the Manza CS will be priced suitably to dominate its competitors.
