Tata Safari Storme was one of the best selling SUV in India market. It gained a competitive edge over others with its powerful engine and grunter looks. Thus we can say that earlier Tata was used to sell his SUV at such a cost, where no one would have ever thought about it. As every product has to go under knife to keep update with present times, Tata Safari is now successfully became Safari Storme. With a complete makeover and sporting an all new front grille, along with new wheels, new arches, much advanced features and a whole lot more had made Safari one of the meanest machines on Indian gravel once again.
Safari Storme will be priced between Rs 10.04 lakh and Rs 14.12 lakh (ex-showroom Kolkata). Ashesh Dhar, Group Head of UV, Tata Motors, said that vehicle market is growing by 6-7% but the SUV market is growing by a whole 50%. Previous year, Tata managed to sell only a handful of 16,000 Safaris from the total market lot of 5.7 lakh SUVs.
At present, the renowned Indian carmaker is having its 12% market share, but is expecting to grab a permanent position in market with this new product. Safari will be priced competitively to lock its horn with brands such as Mahindra & Mahindra Scorpio, XUV 500 and Renault Duster, which are in fact the best selling SUVs in market.
Under the hoods, Tata Safari Storme stores a 2.2 liter of DICOR engine that fires out a 140 bhp and a max torque of 320 Nm at 1,700-2,700 RPM. Well seeing this technical specification, we are very much excited to get our hands on it, since it is delivering such a high torque at a very low RPM.
Seems like Tata Safari Storme will take the excitement to a whole new level, as XUV is going to face a fully fledged blow from none other than the Indian automobile giant Tata!
