Well known automobile giant, Tata Motors, has registered positive sales growth during the last month (May 2013). The company’s total sale figures (comprising exports) of its renowned commercial as well as passenger vehicles during the period under review stood at 49,304 vehicle units.
As per reports, the firm’s Indian sales of its commercial as well as passenger vehicles for the last month remained at 45,430 vehicle units.
Tata’s cumulative sale facts (comprising export figures) for the financial year were 1,00,464 vehicle units.
Tata’s sales of commercial vehicles during May this year in the Indian zone stood at 34,296 vehicle units, light commercial vehicles sales remained at 24,173 vehicle units, whilst M&HCV sales were 10,123 units.
The company has sold 70,321 commercial vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal period under review. Cumulative light commercial vehicles sales stood at 50,196 units, whereas M&HCV sales remained at 20,125 vehicle units.
The company has sold around 11,134 vehicle units passenger vehicles during the last month period (May 2013). The company said that the sales of the Indica/ Indigo/ Nano range during the last month stood at 8,927 units. The sales of other popular models comprising Aria / Safari/ Sumo were 2,207 vehicle units.
Total sale facts of passenger vehicles under this segment stood at 22,704 vehicle units.
Tata sales from exports remained at 3,874 vehicle units during the last month. Total sales from exports for the financial stood at 7,439 units.
