In order to demonstrate the product strategy of the company, Tata Motors, has showcased an extensive range of new concept cars along with 18 new vehicles at the Auto Expo 2014. While the commercial vehicles were based on pillars like PerformanceNext, DesigNext and FuelNext, the primary passenger vehicles were based on ConnectNext, DriveNext, and DesigNext. Tata Motors has unveiled a stunning and dynamic sub 4 meter compact sedan called the Zest, and a premium hatchback Bolt today itself.
Coming to the commercial side, the company has unveiled Prima CX 1816.T, and the LPS 4923 LA, the first factor in India with better drivability, a lift axle and lesser wear and tear. Tata Motors has not only showcased future technologies and concepts for commercial vehicles, but also for passenger vehicles. The Design Concept NENOX illustrates the intelligent new generation HMI and design language of Tata Motors. For the future of transportation in the country, the company has also displayed the next-generation of commercial vehicles that are mostly based on renewable energy sources. These will include a Starbus Urban FE-Parallel Hybrid Bus as an option for public transport and also Magic Iris Electric, a small electric commercial vehicle that has zero emission and has been mounted with a solar panel on the roof for supplementary charging.
The Executive Director of Tata Motors, Mr. Ravi Pisharody has said that the company is now taking up new strategies to introduce commercial vehicles that match up to the global styling with productivity and comfort. This shows the long term commitment of the company towards clean fuel alternatives.
