Tagged as the world’s cheapest car, Tata Nano still had not derived those sales figures for which its maker were vying, many a times changes were made but not a clear cut derivation is extracted from them. Though what the efforts that existing product had not done, can be carried out from the shoulder of facelift, thinks Tata Motors, and hence the facelift version is made out from the ongoing model plate of Nano.
These days Tata seems in full swing of Nano-tic culture, just recently we received clear spy shots from the shooting sets in South Mumbai, looking like nailed down the car for shooting new TV commercials of facelift, where now the fresh bunch of images emerged, projecting doing test rounds in the outskirts of Mumbai.
Looking at these images it is now clear that, Nano facelift will bear chrome strips on front and rear, placed just above the bumpers, for chrome crazy country, and also additional number of air vents at rear helping to cool down the diesel engine easily. Naming the diesel, we recollected, the Indian automaker will do Nano with the CNG and a diesel version in future for providing the additional clichés of life to the world’s cheapest car moniker.
As learnt, facelift will see changes in the interiors too, refreshed upholstery, revamped center console, and minor tweaks here and there to give in the blow of fresh aura feel. Hence, the launch can be expected in the months near Diwali i.e. October or November so that cashing would become easy on initial stage. We speculate cosmetic changes only and not the technical ones, means the same ongoing petrol head engulf in this bay as well.
