We recently reported about the Tata Nano launching in Nepal. Now it has come to light, that 352 models have already been booked, within just 10 days of the car launching in the neighbouring state of Nepal.
Apart from Sri Lanka, Nepal is the only overseas market of Tata Motors, where they sell the Nano. The standard variant of the Nano is available for Nepal Rupees 7.98 lakh, or INR 5 lakhs in Nepal. So far, it is among the cheapest car offered in the Nepal market.
Only 45% customers preferred the standard variant of the Nano, compared to the 55% that preferred the LX variant of the Nano, which costs more and offers many facilities, and the CX variant of the Nano, which is moderately priced, according to the Nano’s authorised dealer in Nepal, Sipradi Trading.
While 35% of customers have booked the Nano LX high priced variant, 20% of customers have booked the Nano CX moderately priced variant. The Tata Nano is offered at an introductory cost of 7.98 lakh by Sipradi Trading for first 10 days since booking began on June 26. Customers wishing to book the Nano have to make a deposit of Rs.10,000, with monthly installments of Rs.11,111 for the Nano.
According to the distributor, Sipradi Trading, they have received around 8,000 queries in the past two weeks from customers. The Tata Nano will be available to customers by July end for customers, who have already booked the car.
Its not meant for Nepal’s bumpy roads. Reasons are plenty. People’s mentality, its clearance problem, space problem, speed, and so on….These are just some minor problems that we see in TATA NANO
