Tata’s twist to Nano doesn’t seem to be working, and that’s the reason for it to launch another variant of the Nano Twist in India. Reportedly, this India based carmaker had rolled out a XE trim of Nano Twist for a low-slung price of Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
As the name suggests, Twist XE falls as the base trim of Nano’s lineup, and here too it will sit below the XT variant. Although for such a price tag this is the cheapest car with power-steering on sale in India. For the money paid, buyers will get AC, black dashboard and headrests for front passenger. As compared to the Twist XT version, XE misses out at heating option in the AC, music system, rear parcel shelf, front power windows and central locking. In the powerhouse, engine continues to be the same as of 625cc twin-cylinder sending the power of 38PS and 51Nm of peak torque via a 4-speed manual transmission.
Some even reported, dealers in the country are still possessed with the last year stock of Nano XE which they would be selling for a hefty discount.
