As the compact SUV repertoire getting burgeoned day by day, the last carmaker that planked its plan for this segment is Tata Motors.
Tata Motors revealed the compact SUV ‘concept Nexon’ at Auto Expo with a huge fanfare. It is been witnessed, the Nexon appeared flashy and flaired at the Expo, but rumours in industry said, the compact SUV of Tata Motors will be toned down while heading towards production. To its aesthetics, the trait of sloping roofline and rising waistline from other Tata passenger vehicles is carried on the Nexon too. Thanks to the borrowed platform of Bolt and Zest named “X one”: the wide grinning face and the blackened scuff plate whammed underneath the front fascia makes it compatible for the crossover segment as well. To the fact, the rumours of industry further claimed, Tata to be rolling out the Nexon on sales floor by twenty sixteen.
Technicalities that are shared confirms, a 1.2L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine under the hoods producing 110PS and 170Nm of torque, driven via a 5-speed automatic transmission and returning fuel economy of 17.6km/l.
Hoping so, the Nexon may bring some fruits back to the basket of Tata Motors when launched. Do share your views at our comments box below.
