Tata Motors has launched its highly anticipated sport utility vehicle, Tata Safari Storme, in the Indian market starting at a price of Rs.9.95 lacs.

The engine is now known as VariCOR and produced a peak power of 140bhp @4000rpm and a peak torque of 320Nm @1700-2700rpm. The engine has been mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The SUV has been Tata Safari launched in four trim levels of 4×2 and 4×4 drive versions. In these four versions three are two-wheel drive models while only one is four-wheel drive. The rear door does not have a spare wheel mounted on it as a standard feature, but it will be offered as an option to the customers. The car will be offered in seven different color options – Urban Bronze, Pearl White, Astern Black, Pearl Champagne, Arctic White, Sardinia Red and Arctic silver.
The new Tata Safari Storme is likely to be extra fuel competent as compared to the current Safari. The SUV’s interiors are totally prepared in leather as well as wood whilst a new honeycomb grill, innovative chrome tipped double exhausts, innovative tailgate in addition to projector head lamps, have been appended.
Rivalry is anticipated from the likes of Renault Duster, Mahindra Scorpio and Chevrolet Tavera.
