Recently rolled out the F-Type in many of the markets, Jaguar had made excitement to notch at a higher platform than what it is standing for now. Rewarded the Tour de France winner Chris Froome a unique F-Type, the British carmaker is continuously showing its response for the past four years to Team Sky.
The gifted F-Type is customized with two tone paint job, and muffled by Team Sky Pro Cycling livery, sponsor decals and “selected photographs” from fans which were collected as part of Jaguar’s #GetBehindTeamSky social media campaign.
Specifically terming the model, it is not yet known that which of the badge the carmaker had presented to this British cyclist. Well, there are speculations, the vehicle was seen with ‘S’ moniker on rear, so it maybe the F-Type S or the V8 S. The F-Type S embeds a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 powerplant developing 380hp and 460Nm of torque, while the F-Type V8 S is powered by supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine cranking out 495 ponies and 625Nm of torque.
Lending a comment for this, Froome said, “Every young cyclist dreams of one day riding in the Tour de France, let alone winning it. I haven’t done it alone though. Team Sky has a great set of partners, and I’d like to thank Jaguar for their brilliant support over the past four years. They’ve invested a lot of time and ingenuity into designing the XF Sportbrake, which is the perfect race support car for us. It has been crucial to keeping the team on the road throughout the competition.”
