Toyota Hiace tops the chart of being the most searched upcoming car in India. But for such a vehicle, which is bound to be multi-utility in its minivan avatar, and would be brought to the country as a CBU (completely built unit) there appears a reason that how does it is going to entice the buyers with its price tag. Someone of us expected us this to be slotted below the Rs 35 lakh mark, commented looking down its size and the image it had garnered abroad. Now, in India, a source replicated the minivan of Toyota could arrive in our market for a bargain not lesser than Rs 40 lakh.
The first time Toyota Hiace shed its cover in India was at Delhi Auto Expo 2014, where once again the company for reaffirming the responses, booked a space at the SIAM Bus and Special Vehicle Show in Delhi some days to study the Indian perception once again.

In the bay, power comes from a Fortuner carried 3.0-litre diesel engine of 134bhp @ 3400rpm and 300Nm of torque @ 1200-2400rpm. A four-speed automatic transmission takes care of the transmission. The features list continues to adorn the rear view camera, dual airbags, ABS, rear defogger, power steering, power windows and music system with CD and USB compatibility.
