Toyota Innova facelift is hopefully the talk of town. As the diehards fans of it are quite obsessed holding it desperately the same since some quite long years. Now it’s time for them to rejoice as a report in industry says the Japanese carmaker is planning to launch the facelift of Innova by next month or so, that maybe specifically to cash upon the upcoming festive season of India.
Nothing else that interesting to say, the Innova facelift is launched in Indonesia recently, we expect the Toyota to launch that same here too.
However report says, Innova facelift to do away the market of India with seven variants, G (7 and 8 seater), GX (7 and 8 seater), VX (7 and 8 seater), and an all-new top-spec Z variant, Innova facelift will be only a cosmetic change, on inside as well as outside, rather than going to be a some biased technical refinements for its best.
On outer, the front grille boasts more of wider and bolder stance, the surrounding of fog lamps and horizontal slats on grille gets chrome treatment as well. At rear the bold chrome strip on the number plate is now spliced on either side, where the carmaker also fitted reflectors on both the sides of it to covet the ideology of at least something is refreshed for the 2014 era.
It is the interiors who enjoyed major chunk of the facelift, Toyota now dusked its MPV with the beige color scheme on dashboard, where the improvised leather fabrics on seats wheel plays an important role complementing in the new innings. The top-spec of facelift Innova will have the audio controls mounted on the steering wheel. New infotainment system will also be there with the roof-mounted screen to channelize the richness of luxury for the top-spec buyers.
As we said, the Innova facelift will be the cosmetically changed package, hence the technical specifications must be remaining same with the 2.5-litre D4D diesel engine outputting 102bhp, and a 2.0-litre VVT petrol engine wobbling out 130bhp under the hoods.
Well, that was all about the Innova facelift, to make it the choice of Indian positioning, showrooms of Toyota is selling the present generation Innova for a hefty price discount of Rs. 40,000 (approximately) in Mumbai.
Not stopping at that, said report of industry also indicated, “An all-new Innova is also on the cards, but won’t launch before 2016.” Hope so, that now answers the eagerness of Toyota for us, the aspiring Indian market!
